IronSphere Server: Unable to ping the server after NIC configuration.

IronSphere Server: Unable to ping the server after NIC configuration.

Symptom:

One or more symptoms from the below list is correct:
  1.      The NIC (Network Interface Name)  is ENS33. The name is displayed once you enter the control panel password and select NETWORK. the       device statement shows the NIC name.
  2.      The network is routed (i.e. Agent and server are located in different network segments),

Description:

IronSphere Server default routing is 192.168.1..1 which is bound to NIC name ENS33. In a routed network, or when the default gateway is different, you need to change the NIC name.

Solution:

Add a new virtual Network Interface to the ironSphere guest image. Then, remove the old NIC and recycle (restart) the ironSphere server. last, redefined the network interface and try to ping it again.
